Something worth pursuing often comes with some struggle
Imagine lying on your deathbed, telling yourself:
“I did not try very hard. But at least I lived an easy life without any struggles.”
Would that be something to be proud of? Probably not. If you want to have something to be proud of in the end, it is more likely that it is going to be associated with struggle in some capacity.
There are people who live their lives waiting for things to happen to them. They wait for things such as a job or a partner to fall from the sky into their lap. Sure, it is more comfortable staying at home, watching TV and eating snacks. But it is very unlikely that you will meet a partner if you do not step outside your door. They will probably not magically materialize in front of you one day out of nowhere.
Albert Einstein once said:
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”
If the watching-TV-and-eating-snacks-strategy is not working for you. You need to make some change. Try something else.
It is common nowadays for people to complain and feel dissatisfied. They complain about their job: it is not what they really want to do, it is draining, or something else. But they forget that it is the reason it is called a job. It is not supposed to be fun. It is not a hobby. That is why you are getting paid to do it.
