My 2025 LinkedIn activity in review

From time to time I publish posts on LinkedIn. During most of 2025 I didn't post much though. But during the autumn, I joined a group of people who all wanted to start publishing text-based content regularly on social media/blogs. It's a group of peers, and among us LinkedIn is a popular platform, therefore the focus has been on LinkedIn.

During 2025, I published 22 posts and 2 reposts. My number of impressions and members reached are as follows:

I also started this blog this year, which was one of my goals for 2025. Another goal was to write 25 blog posts. If I include this blog post, I have written 29 blog posts this year.

The reason I write for my blog and LinkedIn is that I enjoy sharing my thoughts with other people. I already share with the people I am in close touch with, but I think it's fun to be able to reach out to more people than just my wife and closest colleagues. I have my interests that I have a lot of experience in, and things I feel passionate about, so I enjoy finding outlets for those thoughts and to be able to share my thoughts and enthusiasm.

At the same time, the number of views isn't the biggest motivator for me. For instance, I have no idea how many people are reading this blog. However, it's a bit of fun to watch the LinkedIn statistics, now at the end of the year, to get some sense of the number of people I have managed to reach.

The other day I received a notification on LinkedIn about a user – who I didn't know – who had started to follow me. Some weeks ago, I received a personal message on LinkedIn from an acquaintance who shared with me that he enjoys reading my posts. These signs that people appreciate what I share are very uplifting and motivating!

I will continue to post on LinkedIn next year and see where it takes me. It's a nice platform for short-form content, since I am connected with a lot of current and past colleagues there. There's also an overlap between what I post on LinkedIn and what I post here and on my YouTube channel, so when I have something to share, it's quite easy for me to formulate it in different ways for these platforms.

I feel happy about these LinkedIn results, with my 21,000 impressions (+70.3% compared with last year) and 7,300 members reached. It will be fun to see what my statistics will be at the end of 2026.

Lastly, I want to say that I don't take LinkedIn too seriously. It's a fun outlet. I know that there are people with strong feelings about LinkedIn. But I'm a bit more relaxed and simply think it's enjoyable to share thoughts there.
